Laura created her first paintings in 1984 by using house paint and Kraft paper given to her by friends. Since then, Laura's paintings have been included in several public collections including the Tacoma Art Museum. She is both a Behnke Foundation "Neddy" nominee and a Pollock Krasner grantee. In 2007, Laura had a solo exhibition at the Center on Contemporary Art and the following year she was featured on the Seattle Channel's "Art Zone" in studio.
