“My process involves the kind of eidetic vision one uses to see faces, figures or animals in ephemeral formations such as clouds. Conjuring in this way is conducive to the liquid properties of paint, allowing me to capture unique appearances. When working in my studio, I try not to think about “art” so that I may allow the work to evolve according to it’s own logic. In this way, I can anticipate unfamiliar characters to take form, nurture them along and look forward to each one emerging with their own sense of wonder.”
