“Twice Fried” is a series of paintings created during a period of personal renewal. Throughout this period, I took as much time as I needed in order to develop something that could appear “new” to my eyes. This approach wound up materializing into a cast of kooky characters held within an equally kooky space. As I look back at this group now, it’s as if I created a series of two dimensional puppet shows for the sake of my own amusement. Keeping that in mind, I hope when sharing this work, that it can convey the kind of curative revival and sense of fun I received while creating them.
